A man may want a partner who is either a man or a woman, rather than just a woman or just a man. Under that preference comes with someone he wants in a partner―maybe he prefers women with blonde hair, or maybe he prefers a man to have brown eyes. Or perhaps he doesn't care about looks at all and he wants someone who has a witty personality or someone who's different than he is.
