—speaking of that, I have heard there are hot springs here, as well.

It was like a switch had just been set off. The matronly, sometimes passive-aggressive, goddess was quickly replaced by something else. Something Yuuka did not even see that day they dueled at the palace. It was something... dangerous. Something reeking of malicious power.

In an instant, she was upon the flower youkai, a clawed hand aiming to grab her throat like a vice of the strongest steel. Her eyes shined with violence. And her voice, while clear, carried with it a weight so tremendous it could crush mountains.-

Allow me to make something perfectly clear, monster. You will stay away from her. You will not even glance her direction. If a single hair on her head is so much as touched by you, I will unmake you in manners which can never be repaired. Do you understand?

[ Hello there, fellow "dreamer". Mugi here is wandering around wearing a simple blue sundress, and her hair done up in twin pigtails. It's a very "Alice in Wonderland" look going on without even meaning to. When she sees the unfamiliar face he stops, smiles, and waves wordlessly. ]

Hm... But they just say the same thing over and over again. Isn't that the same as a dog going, 'bark bark'?

*. . . cute!! Even from a distance, she can tell--though the details escape her a bit. Yeesh, even in her dreams she's nearsighted!*

*She returns the wave, striding right up for a closer look. A much closer look, actually--she doesn't seem to think much of it, just smiling and invading Mugi's personal space a bit. Yep, her subconscious is definitely doin' a good job in terms of the figments it's conjuring up for this dream, she's decided.*

Hi! It was so quiet here at first, I wasn't expecting to run into anyone else.

[ Yuuka struggled to breathe, her hands clamped down on that arm with all the ferocity she can muster. Though what's weird is that, the more Shinki spoke, the more Yuuka calmed down and very nearly grinned. ] Such... strong words.... in a land where... haaah... life is cheap.

[ Giving her something to be angry over was a mistake, for now she has forgotten the headache altogether. Shinki's rage gives her something to focus on. ] Hnn, she's... old enough to decide... for herself...

[ Oh they'll be going, eventually. ] How quaint~.

You'll join me there sometime, won't you? I'd be lonely there otherwise.

[ If Mugi minds, she doesn't make it known, since the other girl seems quite friendly. ] This land is quite expansive. Even I haven't seen everything there is to offer, yet!

Ah... I'm sure there are better guests for that than I am. [You know... like someone else with a Japanese name.]

Oh I don't plan on killing you. Murder is so... barbaric, don't you think?

-Her hand squeezes just a bit tighter, though.-

What makes you think she'd ever "decide" on you, hmm?

... Sorry, I got carried away.

Oh yeah? Well, if it's no trouble, could you show me around a little?

[ Smiling. ] I'd be glad to. [ Mugi gestures in a direction and then starts walking. Where they are now determines where she'll start walking to! But the Orchards make for a nice, scenic route to take. ] Have you just arrived, today?

*The Orchards it is! Chika casually reaches out to take Mugi's arm as they start walking, and just sort of plays along with the questions. This is a pretty elaborate dream!* Yeah, I guess. I mean, I'm pretty sure I'd remember if I'd been here before, right?

[ Mugi makes a little surprised sound, but she doesn't seem to mind the contact. It's like she's really escorting someone and not just giving them a tour. She's never done that before. Yay! ]

I would think so! It's so unforgettable, here, and the people you'll meet even more so. [ She never wants to wake up. ]

[ Such a quick backpedaling. Yuuka sighs. ] My name is Yuuka and I~ will soon be the ruler of these very gardens!

[ A coy little laugh. ] Or something like that, maybe.

[nephentes_rajah]

[ And her own claws dig in deeper in response. Sneering. ] You would... be on that level... after all. Hn.

[ A wet cough and then, in a more concentrated effort, she tightens her grip in a manner that will make things very painful for the taut muscles in Shinki's grip if she did not let go. ] We've already... made plans~, ah! [ That wasn't a good sound. ]

Nonsense, little one! The queen wants us to bond, and it would be a shame to squander the chance. [ Though the sentiment is nice, there is a certain venom in that manner of address. Just who does the queen think she is, anyway? ]

Well if she really wanted to make a chance she'd have people chained together... again. [Actual chains would be new though, but Alice has been through enough of the queens plans to just be flat out annoyed at the mention of something like that.]

-Between the sound, and the ache in her hand from Yuuka's efforts, she's had about enough. Though letting go in a simple fashion wasn't in the books. Instead... she'd be needing a new table. Given she decided that was where she'd drop Yuuka. With more than enough force to go right through it.-
