test drive meme!
Here's how it works!
➊ wanna play a character but don't have the time? or maybe you just want to test them out?
➋ well go for it! post them here like they're already in the game (text, voice, video or action), and have them talk to characters already in the big gay Garden! Be sure to put their name and fandom in the subject line, for those of us who don't know it.
➌ then app them because you know you want to. 8|
Please spread the word about this meme, and happy Thursday!

stupid typos, the adventure
Things. [a befuddled look, and she takes a sip of her drink.] I don't think I'd call being put in a garden full of women a "thing" either. [She hums, taps her fingers on her thigh.] Disaster, maybe. Paradise, if you're into that sort of thing. [a wink, to let it be known that she is into that sort of thing.] But not a "thing." [There's no malice in her tone, nothing sarcastic, and it's clear she isn't mocking Bonnie. She's mostly curious.]
You're very calm. Military?
a grand, noble quest *A*
Military? ( It's so far off that she almost laughs, but-- well, that'd be rude. Her smile widens, just a fractionally, and she shakes her head, slouching comfortably against the bar. ) No, ma'am. I just, uh. ( Head tilting, thinking it over. She seems to space out a little for half a second before she zones back in. )
A lotta odd stuff happens back home? You get used to seein' and hearin' bunches of odd things. ( Ha. Things again. A nice, ambiguous euphemism, but her smile becomes a bit rueful at her repetition of the word. ) You don't seem so flustered yourself, though.
( Quiet, the last comment. Was that impolite, maybe? Maybe a bit, and her expression becomes just a shade apprehensive. )

Ah, I don't get flustered easily. [She rolls her neck, stretches languidly, like a contented cat.] It works to my benefit, most of the time. And I am in the military. Well. [A pause.] A military. All of the worlds here, I can't be sure if everyone's armies are the same.
it's fashionably late, totally fashionable
I don't know all that much about armies and stuff, though. ( She shrugs, for about the hundredth time, and distracts herself with her milk. ) I'd say ya'll are more like a celebrity or something.
( And that was almost mumbled into her milk, before she drink some more; not out of awkwardness, but more because she's easily distracted, dreamy, and that milk is damn delicious. )
totes
[She grins again, and finishes her drink, tapping the glass in an idle, distracted way.] Well, I am something of a celebrity, [she says, modestly] but not the sort in movies. [it occurs to her to ask:] What about you?
no subject
You are? ( Oooooh, celebrity. Even if she isn't an actor, that's pretty interesting. Another smile, and she bobs her head. ) Neat. ( Oh, but-- ) I ain't a movie star or anything. Just Bonnie.
( Her shoulders are tensing, attention focused on her glass, though the thing is nearly empty now. There's more, she isn't just Bonnie, but it's not the kinda thing generally brought up with strangers. It tends to lead to Bad Things, unless she knows someone properly. ... Actually, even then it could go badly. ) I play piano sometimes, but not like one of them real good, professional folks?

Ah, well, everyone can't be a star, I suppose. Takes a particular sort, and some people don't enjoy the spotlight, you know? Nothing wrong with that.
[Zahra is hardly the type to pry -- most people have too many heavy issues, heavy thoughts, for her to want to. But she's good at reading people, and never really has any desire to upset anyone deliberately.] Piano, hm? My mother tried to force me into lessons when I was small. Never took to it. I'd say that takes some talent to even learn it, wouldn't you?
no subject
( Hmm. She doesn't know what to think to think of that. Zahra is making her progressively more curious, but her control over her abilities is erratic, at best. Even if she wanted to try and use them, whether or not she could is another matter entirely. If whatever force there was out there that liked to trigger them saw fit that she had to know something, though? There'd be about no way to hold it off. ) How'd you know her?
( Curiousity, strong as ever. Maybe some fear, too, watching Zahra very carefully. For the moment, that fog around her has cleared,
Still, that last comment makes her mouth quirk, just slightly. ) Maybe. I just liked doing it. ( A slow smile, even if she's still aware of what Zahra's movements are. She hasn't got a specific reason to bolt, just yet. ) My teacher tried to force me to have better posture and stuff, though. Didn't work so good.

On a more pressing note, Bonnie's sudden alertness doesn't go over her head. She's trained to notice these things, but her tone stays light and conversational. Easygoing.] I do, yes. Cassie's her name. Met after she predicted the imminent destruction of our world, and all that. It sounded like a load of bunk to me, but it seems that's not the case. [If she's concerned about this, she gives no indication of it.] I'm helping her out. It's fun, you know? Exciting.
