[There's a slight disturbance in the Gardens. A young woman is seated in the woods near the Viridian Pavilion, and she has attracted a crowd of Pokémon. She's talking to them quite happily, though it's unlikely that anyone else overhearing could find their speech intelligible.

When she notices the motion of the Vine and its mirror, she leans in to address it, curiously.] And what are you? Do you have a name?

Right! And there are so many different worlds to learn about too.

[She starts to stretch again.] It'd be pretty lonely, I bet. I've got a lot of friends here, but I miss some people from home too. [Her expression sobers.] Say, Miss Arachne. D'you miss anyone from your home?

[ A pause.

Her fan is completely obscuring her utterly disgusted scowl. The last thing she wants to waste time on is thinking of those from her Earth. ]

...I miss my servants and subordinates. I have sisters, as well, but--ah, we do not get along.

( The sight through the mirror certainly catches Mizuno's attention. )

Hehe! They're cute, your friends.

Servants...you must be really important, huh? [Her face falls, though, at the mention of Arachne's sisters.] Oh...I'm sorry. That must be rough.

[ Helen almost frowns at the disruption in her exploring. She stops―her path is still outlined, it's not all that far off from where any other person would follow. Where there is no road, that is where she wished to find herself. Untouched land, that is where the Queen lies. Illusions, mirror and smoke, nobody would think to travel the untouched ground, would they? ]

[ Slowly, she turns to look at the other woman. Her expression, as it usually is, is stoic and cold. ] I'm exploring. I think getting a proper map of where everything lays is beneficial. Don't you?

[Her eyes widen a little. She hadn't expected to see a face--it's like an Xtransceiver, then, but in a plant. She's never seen anything like it before. She wonders how it was made, but she has more immediate matters to consider.]

They're wonderful, aren't they? We're getting to know each other. [She smiles.] Hello, my name's N. You're the first human I've seen here. Would you mind telling me what region this is?

It's quite alright. Immature younger sisters can be troublesome.

But what about yourself? I'm sure someone like you has left many people behind.

That's so nice, its great making new friends. ( And she'll smile right back. ) My name is Mizuno! And region? Hmm. I don't think anyone has mentioned something like that, only that we're somewhere called the Gardens and its... sorta a long way from our homes.

[Erza walked the halls of her newly-created replica Fairy Tail guild hall, hearing her armor-clad footsteps echo off of the empty walls. This was the original guild hall, the one she had spent the more pleasant half of her childhood in, not the new one they had built after Phantom Lord had destroyed it.]

[Every detail was perfect. It was all exactly as she remembered it, from the sign out front to the disarray of tables and chairs on the main floor. And yet...it was missing something, and it didn't take long to figure out what it was: People. An empty Fairy Tail wasn't Fairy Tail at all.]

[She sighs wistfully as she opens the main door again to exit.]

It's just not the same.

W...Well, it's not as if going along with it will get us home or anything.

[ If I could go back home by just kissing a girl, I'd do it. Er, wait, I know that won't work. Stop thinking about it! ]

I think so, too. It's nice to meet you, Mizuno.

The Gardens? That makes sense, since there are only Grass Types here. I've never been to a type-specific region before. [It's a little odd that Mizuno doesn't seem to know what she means by region at all.] I'm originally from Unova. Where are you from?

[She pauses, considering everything that's been said.] A long way--I meant to go very far, but I haven't been traveling that long.

Unova? I've never heard of a place like that anywhere in Japan. ( She tilts her head side to side, considering what had been said for a moment. )

I'm from a place called Southern Cross Isle. I'm kind of happy actually, I never got to leave the island... so suddenly showing up here was really exciting! I just wish my sister could be here too.

I bet it's tough, being an older sister. [If Touga and Nanami are any indication, or Kozue and Miki...] It seems to me like younger sisters are a pain sometimes.

Me? Well, I don't have any family, but I do have friends that I miss.

I'm sure they miss you, as well. But, you've made good friends here, haven't you?

[Nepeta lies in wait of her unsuspecting prey, which can be literally anything. Either an animal or you, the person responding! She's well-hidden in the bushes, but if you're the perceptive sort, you might just sense a pair of big, bright yellow eyes...]

[the Vine catches her from the back as she buttons up her school uniform, one that should look familiar to people who knew a certain derpy redhead. She's muttering to herself.]

That man...just what does he seek to gain by this? Ridiculous.

[She tilts her head curiously, pointing to herself.]

Me? I'm Xion.

[there's a woman in a long red coat draped over a tree branch, looking thoroughly unimpressed.]

What kinda paradise is out in the boonies? Man, I'm not cut out for country life. No fast food, no crowded streets; it's just green everywhere.

[she sniffs.]

Yeah, yeah, chill out and smell the flowers. Where did that little brat get to, anyway? I'm sure she'd love this.

[ For anyone yet to meet her, you may be a bit surprised by the appearance of one particularly tall, particularly gray, particularly fanged, and particularly horned woman. For anyone friends with--or at least familiar enough with--[Bad username or site: gardenmeddler title=Kanaya @ livejournal.com], you may notice a very, very striking similarity between the two. ]

There is a question I have been meaning to inquire about for some time now, but have refrained from doing so for concern of offending you due to my ignorance of alien cultures.

[ Alien in this case meaning human. ]

I take it to understand that the purpose of our containment here is to facilitate relationships amongst ourselves--relationships in this case being of a concupiscent nature. Though this is certainly an unusual goal on the part of the Queen of Hearts, it is easy enough to comprehend in and of itself; however, it does lead to the question I have.

What is the particular purpose or benefit of collecting only females for this? There are far too many here for me to assume it was simple coincidence that only one gender is present, but I cannot for the life of me determine why our captor would do something so arbitrary on purpose.

[ In her mind, it is, in fact, entirely arbitrary: for her species, the difference between male and female is entirely superficial and preferring one over the other is as mundane as preferring redheads to brunettes. ]

[She's standing in the Pagoda, critically examining the statue of a woman with the body of a dragon that dominates the entrance hall. Such a strange place. So eerily quiet. It's growing late, and the interior is dark. There are no lights currently lit in the hall of this antiquated building, so she starts a fire of her own: a single blue-green flame that rises from her hand and flickers there, obedient to her will.

When one of the guardian chow dogs approaches her, tail wagging, she is slightly bewildered, but she remains completely calm. She extinguishes her fire, though she can barely see once it goes out. Usually, friendly dogs mean people are nearby.]

Hello. Is anyone here?

[This wasn't the first time Beatrix had woken up in a strange place, with no idea how she'd gotten there. Fortunately, this time, there was no flood of old memories awaiting her, and - as she ascertains by flexing all four of her limbs - she seems to be in perfect health. And her Hattori Hanzou sword was sitting right next to her. So there was that.]

[When she hears someone approaching through the bushes, though, she lays back down, and pretends to still be asleep, clutching her katana by her side. She wanted to know what she was dealing with before taking any action.]

[The woman's leaning on what looks like a lawnmower (http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110818173217/kuroshitsuji/images/thumb/1/1e/Ronald%27s_death_scythe.png/207px-Ronald%27s_death_scythe.png) casually, glancing around before shrugging and speaking in a nonchalant tone.]

Did I smack my head on something? Because this is not a sinking ship.

[Laughing, she lays on the ground, watching the world drift by. It's like some of the programs that had been written, except it feels so real...realer than the programs, as she can't reach out to anything to change it. Strangely, the lack of control leaves her at ease. No work for now. Just enjoyment. Just a moment to understand everything.

She speaks softly when she collects herself, eyes at some distant point.]

A man dreamed he was a butterfly, then dreamed he was a man. Which is which? Shall they be friends?

You seem like you were placed there.

[Her tone is innocent, only curious as to why someone would want such darkness around them.]
