test drive meme iv.

Let's see if this is a better time for it!

test drive meme!

Here's how it works!

wanna play a character but don't have the time? or maybe you just want to test them out?
well go for it! post them here like they're already in the game (text, voice, video or action), and have them talk to characters already in the big gay Garden! Be sure to put their name and fandom in the subject line, for those of us who don't know it.
then app them because you know you want to. 8|

Please spread the word about this meme, and happy Tuesday!

Yuliya Petrov (genderbend of Yuri Petrov) | Tiger & Bunny

[She's standing in the Pagoda, critically examining the statue of a woman with the body of a dragon that dominates the entrance hall. Such a strange place. So eerily quiet. It's growing late, and the interior is dark. There are no lights currently lit in the hall of this antiquated building, so she starts a fire of her own: a single blue-green flame that rises from her hand and flickers there, obedient to her will.

When one of the guardian chow dogs approaches her, tail wagging, she is slightly bewildered, but she remains completely calm. She extinguishes her fire, though she can barely see once it goes out. Usually, friendly dogs mean people are nearby.]

Hello. Is anyone here?

omg femYuri that is amazing

[identity profile] unighted.livejournal.com 2011-08-24 08:38 am (UTC)(link)
[ Norway had been following the dog to get around the building, and so soon she hears someone else's voice. Whether she'd seen the fire or not, it didn't matter to her, as she creates a light with her own hand using her magic. ]

Need something?

Oh, thank you!

[identity profile] a-civil-service.livejournal.com 2011-08-24 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Good evening. [She smiles politely. Yuliya's not too surprised by the light she conjures. She assumes the woman's either a NEXT or another unusual type of individual--she already knows enough about the Gardens to have realized there are many different people here, with many different abilities.

It's going to take a bit of getting used to, not having to hide her power. She's had to be so cautious for so long.]

Yes, as a matter of fact, I've been looking for somewhere to stay. This place seems suitable enough, if slightly primitive.

Oh wow, Laura Palmer!

[identity profile] a-civil-service.livejournal.com 2011-08-27 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
[She remembers, there's no need to extinguish her light here. No one knows who she is. It's simply second nature now for her to hide it, or even a mania, for the secret she protects is a precious, needful one.

But here, now, there is no one from her world. She hesitates--she might have to take on the same role here, but no, it's different. The voice of Thanatos is quieter, her need less urgent.

She lights her fire again, blue and green flames flickering above her palm, and the darkness recedes. She can see the other woman, and she addresses her politely.]
Ah. I wasn't sure if there was anyone else here. I've been looking for a place to stay. Do you live here?

Yes indeed! I had to spice it up a little

[identity profile] twentyfiveyears.livejournal.com 2011-08-27 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
]

[Her head whips around to look at the woman illuminated by the flame. It doesn't look like anyone she recognizes (something she is both thankful and unthankful for) and for a moment, she stands still once more. Her shoulders rise and fall, a smile rises from the depths of the darkness.] I don't.

I thought I'd take a look around, see if anyone was here.

Do you like living in darkness?

Always a good thing!

[identity profile] a-civil-service.livejournal.com 2011-08-28 08:23 am (UTC)(link)
[Yuliya watches her silently, studying her face, her reactions. An interesting woman.

An interesting question. Does she like living in darkness? She doesn't think it's a matter of liking it. Some simply live in the dark. Others do not. She is among the former, but only figuratively. However, she will not say that.]

I can illuminate the darkness. [She studies the entrance hall.] There are lanterns here. They only need to be lit. [It's a rather antiquated residence, but there's something about it that appeals to her. As she speaks, she reaches out and lights one of the stone lanterns with her fire. It is almost too hot. Her fire consumes all things. But with just a spark, she can set off a more normal flame, flickering red and gold, one which does not destroy.]

[identity profile] twentyfiveyears.livejournal.com 2011-08-28 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)

Darkness always remains, no matter how much light you put. It never goes away. Once those lanterns are turned off, you'll have to face darkness again.

Won't you?

[identity profile] a-civil-service.livejournal.com 2011-08-29 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Yuliya shrugs.] Why should I be afraid of such a simple thing as darkness? There's nothing intrinsically harmful about the absence of light.

[She has no fear, physical or otherwise. Neither of darkness nor of the woman facing her. She hasn't since--well, it's been a long time. One can go beyond fear, for good or ill, can reach a point past caring what happens to one. She cares only for justice, pure and cleansing and implacable. That is what she is.

A fire that consumes all before it. Fire has no fear.

A faint smile moves her lips.]
I won't hesitate to face it.
