test drive meme v.
Time for another one of these, right in time for ATP this Saturday (FINALLY I TIMED THIS RIGHT)!
test drive meme!
Here's how it works!
➊ wanna play a character but don't have the time? or maybe you just want to test them out?
➋ well go for it! post them here like they're already in the game (text, voice, video or action), and have them talk to characters already in the big gay Garden! Be sure to put their name and fandom in the subject line, for those of us who don't know it.
➌ then app them because you know you want to. 8|
Please spread the word about this meme, and happy Wednesday!

w/e gonna be dead in the morning
She clears her throat, and speaks in the same, calming tones she always does.] Senp--[A moment, and she swallows this response. Tries again.] Kotone? [It is still uncomfortable, to use such an intimate term of address, but she is trying.]
/samuel l. jackson: go the fuck to sleep
she recognizeswho's not a total dumbfuck.] Mitsu--![There's a genuine warmth in her voice, but only for a second before it's covered up by feigned boredom. Don't feel bad, Mitsuki, she really is happy to hear you.] It's about time you showed up, Bento. Everyone here is dumber than rocks. I figure they've collectively got about a sixth of your brainpower.
[A note of seriousness creeps into her voice.] Where are you? [And then some slight awkwardness - it's always hard for her to spit out anything that might resemble true caring.] Hey, uh, know if the other kids are here? I haven't seen 'em and... They're pretty much useless without me.
I WILL after this tag...
I'm near a lake. It's very pretty here; I've never seen anything like it. [And then she is quiet for a long while, and her voice is even softer than before.] Mm...no, it's only me. I haven't seen the others.
you'd better be asleep!!
She clears her throat, and clears her mind of such unpleasant thoughts.] A lake, huh? I guess I can come find you. [A pause, and her voice softens. She only speaks like this around Mitsuki, and Keiko, and even then it is rare.] Maybe they'll show up soon.
I did sleep!!
≫ action!
runningheading over at a leisurely pace.When she spots Mitsuki by the lake, she shifts out of Magical Hunter mode and saunters over. Because she wasn't worried at all and she looks totally fine, inspecting her nails and appearing surprised when she nearly bumps into the kid.] Oh, here you are.
action;
Mm. Hello, Kotone.
action;
Not that she's showing off or anything.
She puts her hands in the pocket of her hoodie, leans back against a boulder at the water's edge. Gotta be cool, be cool.] Hey, Bento. [She softens a little, fights the urge to reach out and ruffle Mitsuki's hair.] How are you holding up?
action;
I've been fine. [Her hands knit together in her lap.] ...Better, now that you're here.
action;
That surprises and pleases her. But then, she doesn't want it to please her. She's been warring with all this potential friendship, and losing. She shouldn't care what anyone thinks. That warm, comfortable feeling she gets around Mitsuki - it makes her panic, puts her walls up. She's lost too much, can't afford to let anyone in just to lose them as well. Even after all they've been through, Kotone can't just give up. She's too stubborn for that.
So she frowns.] Why? It's not like I'm gonna help you.
action;
She doesn't smile again, only dips her fingers in the water, puts up her own walls.] Maybe not. But it's still good to have you here.
action;
But now, here she is, taken from her city and dragged to a place where she can't do anything. It pisses her off. She almost turns and punches the boulder, just barely resists the urge. She has some responsibility, she supposes, to stay collected in front of her junior.] It's not too bad having you here either, I guess. At least I know you're not as incompetent as everyone else around.
action;
I'm happy not to disappoint. [There's a bite to those words, a barely noticeable annoyance.]
action;
But she's fooled herself into believing that she doesn't care as a defense mechanism, fooled herself into believing that it's better that way. She doesn't react to Mitsuki's ire, simply kicks a stone into the water.] Good, you should be.
action;
However, she does at least slip into a stubborn, moody silence, and does not glance up to Kotone again. Her only small act of defiance will be to remain this way until one of them concedes.]
action;
As patient as Mitsuki is, Kotone is equally stubborn. She will not apologize, for to do so would be to admit wrongdoing, to take responsibility for Mitsuki's feelings, and that is something she cannot do. She has closed herself off purposefully, has tried her best to push people away. If Mitsuki is hurt, it's her own fault for insisting on something Kotone can't give.
Still, the silence makes her uncomfortable in this strange place, and she is impatient. She can speak first, if she changes the subject, acts like their previous exchange never happened. A draw. Neither wins, and this she deems acceptable.
When she speaks, it is less its customary roughness; a small concession to Mitsuki's wounds.] How long have you been here?
action; making up a time w/e
A week. I've had enough time to look through the archives here. [She loosens up a little, shifting into the safer topic of research and observation. These things are easier to discuss, than hurt feelings.] And the library. [Her cheeks color, and she keeps her focus on some space off into the distance.] It's very lacking in any viable information.
