[ A quiet laugh. ] Yeah, I think you're right.

Still... I think I want a second opinion.

[ Subaru purses her lips in thought, and then wets them a little. ] Is that a "go ahead"?

[ Katina uncrosses her arms, and steps closer. ] Yeah it is.

Mm. [ That grin widens a bit, and she straightens up. ] Good. [ Truth is, she probably would have gone for it anyhow... that's the kind of mood she's in. Her hands come up and, rather than the relatively safe sort of kiss they had shared before, she has something else in mind. That's why the tentative, bracing touches from before are replaced with Subaru reaching her hands up to slip right past the edge of Katina's jaw, fingers stopping just shy of the hair behind her ear, and the grip just firm enough to pull her the other woman in in for that kiss. ]

[ This is the kind of kiss that Katina has, more and more, found herself wanting to share with Subaru, now that they've gotten to know each other. She's already leaning in when Subaru's fingers brush against her, eyes shutting as their lips meet firmly. Her own hand slips up as well, lightly resting on the back of Subaru's head, but letting her be the one in control. ]

[ That control won't be wasted. There is a gentle rolling of her head after a moment, the gesture emphasizing pressure on different parts of their lips. Subaru finds that the closed-mouth kiss isn't so intense as to cause her to be out of breath quickly, and she wants to savor this as long as possible — but, above all, she is in this to prove to Katina once and for all who is better at this out of all of their friends. ]

[ It's still closed mouth, but Katina's already being drawn into it. She tilts her head in turn, her lips drifting across Subaru's. Subaru is making it so that letting her be in control was absolutely the right choice - she's doing a pretty good job convincing Katina right about now. ]

[ And this is only the beginning. She keeps a hold of her friend even as she tenses her lips, wedging them in so that their parting might coax Katina into matching her in that gesture. Subaru wants to breathe her in, and this is the best way to accomplish exactly that. ]

[ She follows Subaru's lead, pressing back just a little more firmly as her lips part slightly. There's a hitch in her breath, a moment where she's tempted to wrap her arms around Subaru and go all out, but this slow, purposeful kiss has her heart starting to pound anyways. ]

[ She takes that opening, tongue darting in right away to brush against the tops of Katina's teeth. It should be clear that she's not messing around, and while she wants this to last, she's moving forward at what is, for her, a breakneck pace. ]

[ That means that it's starting to get more Katina's pace. Her own tongue slips forward, more slowly than Subaru's teasing at her lips but going no further. It seems as though she has more experience than Subaru, not that Katina's surprised that someone like her hasn't been going around smooching girls left and right.

The hand on the back of Subaru's head stays there, but Katina's other hand moves to rest lightly on the other girl's hip. ]

[ Experienced or not, Subaru had a plan, and she was close to executing it. Her tongue flicks playfully at Katina's, tempting her into a little game. Her own fingers begin slow, gentle round motions where they rest on the back of Katina's neck certain to keep her close and their lips locked. ]

[ Guess who doesn't know about your overarching plan? That's right, this girl. Katina's caught up in kissing Subaru now, flicking back against her tongue. She moans softly at the light pressure on the back of her neck, pressing forward a little more. ]

[ Subaru eases up on the pressure briefly, but that's just so she could go through with what we'll call "phase 2" of her little plan. Namely, Katina will find something rough in texture, sweet in flavor, and vaguely round in shape pressing against the top of her tongue to fill in that gap.

[ Wait now, what's this? Katina eases up as well, in surprise, letting the something rest against her tongue, puzzled. That... only lasts a moment though, before she recognizes the texture and flavor, that of a cheapo little heart candy.

She lets it slide into her mouth a little, sucking lightly on it. ]

[ Just as planned~

She gives up a pleased noise of her own, suppressing the urge to laugh about her success. Subaru does help the woman with eroding that little piece, though it distracts her from actually kissing her. ]

[ Unfortunately, Katina doesn't quite get why it's such a victory yet. She just isn't thinking that hard about the candies, except that she's kissing Subaru around it. Mostly, she just wants to get back to kissing once this candy dissolves. Subaru's already proven how good of a kisser she is, so now Katina has something to prove too... ]

[ And that moment is when she disengages. Both to catch her breath, and watch Katina's face with an impish sort of charm to her own expression. ] Mm~ [ She's all too pleased with herself. ]
