I drove through Joliet to get to Peoria, once upon a time. That whole trip was... exactly as exciting as it sounds. The 'highlight' was stopping in Gary for gas.

Oh I totally agree. My friend lived in Peoria for awhile, driving down to see her was a seemingly endless sea of tiny towns and farm fields.
