It must have been that ceremony--but before that, the Queen was acting strange. The reason she was taking all those girls from their homes, I think it was--

[she pulls both hands to her chest.] She called all of us up to speak with her, and something odd happened. She wanted to know if I thought of her as beautiful, and refused to believe me when I said yes. She said Huma must think Gajuma are ugly...

[she shakes her head, sadly.]

Something was troubling her. She must have thought there was something she could do as a Huma and not a Gajuma. So she wanted...my body.

[This similarly disheveled and observant woman shrugs.]

There's a bar. [Not something they've got back home, but she approves.]

Or you can wish it up. Need some dirt for that. Might as well go to the bar.

[UGH, WHAT A JACKASS, she's thinking, and it's written all over her face. Someone needs to learn not to mess with her.

She does a bunch of complicated moves with her naginata, there's some flashy fire stuff going on, it's all very impressive. She smirks and glares both at once.] I think it's you who should worry about getting hurt.

[Fiorel addresses the Vine lazily. She's in the woods, as usual. She's used to living outdoors, where trees and running water are.]

It'd almost be tolerable here if I had my people with me. Least what the Queen's doing with me's better than what the royalty I know'd do. [She gives a short laugh.]

But at home, I've got my overgrown chicken and my useless mouse who can't cook, and I've got my woman. Think I miss them. Didn't know I would-- miss the other two, I mean, not my woman. 'Course I want her.

[She nods toward the mirror, addressing her audience. She tends to view the other inhabitants of the Gardens as a sometimes-amusing rabble.] What about you lot? Who've you got back home?

[Kotone snorts derisively. Mitsuki has no idea.] Just wait. [She says this in all seriousness. Everyone here has thus far proven not to be worth her time or effort, and she just wants to go back to Sugikishi to continue fighting and killing the things that had destroyed her family. It's what gives a direction to her rage, a focus for the anger she wields, just as dangerous as her blade. Take that away, and she's got no purpose. It is an uncomfortable feeling, to be without it.

She clears her throat, and clears her mind of such unpleasant thoughts.] A lake, huh? I guess I can come find you. [A pause, and her voice softens. She only speaks like this around Mitsuki, and Keiko, and even then it is rare.] Maybe they'll show up soon.

[It's not the same cat, but Sayaka has a cat she's holding in her arms. While looking curiously at Doofus McReyvateil.]

_{[ giggles because that's just adorable ]} Right, the more the merrier! Of course! I like friends! _{[ SHE DOESN'T HAVE ANY ]} Any friend of yours is a friend of mine, ahh, w-what's your name?

[A sweet young girl with unusual hair and eyes appears in the mirror. She begins by bowing politely to the mirror, full of cheer and wonder.]

I have seen many different kinds of mirrors before, but not one quite like you! Nor have I have seen so many wonderful plants and different creatures. Oh, not that I haven't seen any creatures before; I have met humans, beastmen, grape-hippos, and many different kinds with Simon and the rest of the team! Just not those ones that are very soft and fast!

I am looking for Team Dai-Gurren! It would be awful if I could not return to them soon; I need to do my best for them as their cook!

[ Buildings and skyscrapers, crowds of people, all of it is so vastly different here. All the things that kept her mind occupied away from death, from immortal bodies, were now all replaced by sunlight and green. It is a change for her, she will admit, but not one that seems to unsettle her.

By the lake, stands a figure, but upon walking closer, it seems that the woman is from another era. How funny, that she is already used to these kinds of things. ]

She was rude, but I want to blame it on her being distraught over being here, you know? So I won't hold it against her.
